From Bangor, follow route 1A south to Ellsworth.
From Ellsworth continue South on route 3.
When coming onto Mount Desert Island, bear right onto 102
travel through Southwest Harbor to 102A, take  left for 102A loop. (through
Manset and Seawall)
Following blue signs to Swans Island Ferry,
McKinley House is directly across from the Swans Island ferry terminal,
(to right of Maine-ly Delights)  follow driveway to end, at top of hill.
